Heldenfels Enterprises, Inc.

The Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas; opened in 2009 as the largest and most expensive NFL stadium in the country and the largest domed structure in the world.

Three Texas firms were involved in the precast portion of the project; The Consulting Engineers Group, San Antonio; Heldenfels Enterprises in San Marcos and Hamilton Form Company, Fort Worth.

Precast products included 1,839 seating risers, 880 wall panels, 165 stair risers and 109 flat slabs. Hamilton Form engineers worked closely with CEG in determining the number of different products that were required for the project; then visited Heldenfels plant to inspect stadia forms that were used for other projects that could be used or adapted for the Cowboys Stadium.

Once new formwork needs were identified, Hamilton Form scheduled production of forms, fillers and risers to correspond with the erection schedule. This collaborative effort between the precast engineers, precaster and formwork supplier was the key in expediting delivery to keep the project moving on-time and on budget.
